George V. Neville-Neil III
Personal Information
About Me
I was born in 1967 in the borough of the Bronx in New York City,
to my parents George (the II) and Brona.
I have many brothers and sisters, but only a few of my
family are on the web.
When I was 6 my family moved to Long Island where I spent the rest of
my years until college. In 1985 I moved to
Boston and attended Northeastern University where I received a B.S.
in Computer Science. I left Boston after
graduation in 1990 and moved to Mountain View, CA. Realizing
how much I still hated the suburbs I moved
immediately to San Francisco. In 1993 I spent a
a short, 9 month, stint in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
From 2004 until 2008 I lived in Tokyo Japan. Since January
2008 I've lived in New York City.
About the name Neville-Neil
Many people have asked me, "Were your parents liberated?" The answer
is "No!"
Neville-Neil is (according to the stories I've heard) a very old Welsh
name. The
story is that one half were royalty of a sort and the others were not.
They needed
to band together to beat up on the English and so had a marriage but
no one
wanted to lose a name so they added a hyphen.
